After the oil crisis of 1975, a handful of idealists founded the German Solar Energy Society with the aim to supply Germany with 100% renewable energy. Today the DGS is Germany’s largest, and at the same time, its oldest independent solar association.
Since 1982, the state association of Berlin Brandenburg has been supporting the aims of the DGS by offering professional training courses, specialist publications, technical services, standardisation and committee work and by establishing and maintaining international partnerships. Read more
