Project description
As part of the programme that has been running since 1995 develoPPP.de The MEDAS project for vocational and university training in the planning and grid connection of photovoltaic systems in Turkey was launched as part of a BMZ programme. The programme supports companies in innovative projects in developing and emerging countries that have long-term benefits for the local population. The cooperation partners support the planning, financing and implementation of the project.
The increasing demand for electricity and the current situation of demand fulfilment in Turkey require a sustainable restructuring. In this context, the existing large potential of renewable energy sources should be increasingly utilised. The integration of renewable energies into the existing centralised and unidirectional electricity grid requires a change in the grid structures. A lot of experience has already been gained with this in Germany and recommendations have been drawn up.
As part of the project, this knowledge will be imparted to relevant target groups - network operators, chambers of trades for electricians, university lecturers (train the trainer) and students at various locations in Turkey. Depending on the target group, DGS Berlin prepares, communicates and makes available specific presentations. Various calculation tools are also explained.
