Project description

Building-dialogue develops innovative dialogue formats in which an open source web tool is further developed and used to clearly present technical and economic relationships. The dialogue formats are intended to help reduce reservations and acceptance problems regarding renovation measures on the part of building owners and provide incentives for implementation. In order to address the heterogeneous group of building owners in the best possible way, various dialogue formats are being developed that are adapted to the needs of the respective group. 

The core element of the innovative dialogue formats is a web tool for which existing models on heat generation technologies (StEmp-Tool Wärme), electricity supply for buildings and neighbourhoods (EProM) and value creation and employment through energy-efficient building refurbishment measures (WeBEE) are being further developed and coordinated. The result is the StEmp-Tool Heat 2.0. This web tool is available as a follow-up to the project and can be used freely. 

The dialogue formats are carried out up to 12 times together with local energy agencies in a rural and an urban region and the results achieved are compared. The implementation of the dialogue formats, e.g. in the form of workshops, will be evaluated. The effects achieved will show the levers with which energy transition measures can be incentivised through the various formats. 

The chosen approach of the building-dialogue project enables us to make a decisive contribution to achieving climate neutrality by communicating and discussing scientifically sound measures and concrete recommendations for action in a creative and participatory way in dialogue with the heterogeneous group of building owners. The dialogue formats and the StEmp Heat 2.0 tool will be disseminated to other multipliers in the form of a train-the-trainer workshop.
