Course contents

In addition to the structural basics, the workshop provides an overview of the PV modules installed on façades and roofs, their properties, module concepts and the influence of irradiation on the orientation of the modules. The focus is also on special GIPV solutions in terms of colour, mechanical properties and fire protection classifications.

When installing PV modules in the roof or on the façade, laws, rules and regulations must be observed that go beyond the requirements of rooftop PV systems. The workshop explains all the requirements, including those for lightning and surge protection, fire protection, installation and mounting on buildings. The various in-roof and façade concepts available on the market will be presented.

The GIPV workshop was developed by DGS LV Berlin Brandenburg as part of the BMWK-funded joint project SolarEnvelopeCenter (SEC). The planning web tool developed in the SEC project with type configurators for GIPV projects and the digital models for GIPV modules will therefore also be presented.
