Course description

From today's perspective, it is impossible to imagine PV installations in homes and businesses without storage systems. In many constellations, they are necessary in order to realise PV systems profitably. Operating a storage system without a PV system can also prove to be economical.

In this seminar, you will learn about the requirements and possible applications for storage systems in combination with PV systems, electromobility and heat pumps, how they are dimensioned and what problems need to be taken into account. You will receive an overview of available energy management systems and revenue opportunities.

Using examples and calculation exercises, you will learn how to optimise the design of an energy storage system for domestic and commercial applications and what needs to be taken into account during installation.

What are you taking with you?
  • Fundamentals of photovoltaics, battery storage, charging infrastructure for electromobility and energy management
  • Current status of the framework conditions for storage technology in Germany
  • Revenue opportunities under current framework conditions in Germany
  • Overview of available energy management systems
  • Planning and design as well as profitability analyses of sector-coupled PV battery systems
  • Normative framework conditions and safety and installation regulations
