Project: The SolarCentre Berlin

The SolarCentre Berlin

Energy Centre Berlin, headquarters of the Solar Centre

The SolarZentrum Berlin is an independent, product- and manufacturer-neutral advice centre for all aspects of solar energy. It was opened in 2019 and is part of the Solarcity masterplan, which has been implemented since 2020.

The SolarCentre is operated by the Berlin Brandenburg regional association of the German Solar Energy Society (DGS) and is funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. The solar advice centre is an element of the Solarcity master plan, which is being implemented as part of the Berlin Energy and Climate Protection Programme (BEK) 2030. The BEK 2030 programme stipulates that a strong expansion of renewable energies in the city is essential in order to achieve the overarching goal of climate neutrality by 2050.

The SolarZentrum team

In the meantime, our team has grown a little bigger than in the photo. In addition to the project managers Laura Ferreri and Elisa Förster, the team comprises eight advisors, a project manager and four people who are responsible for project assistance, podcasts and public relations.
