Founded in 1975, after the oil crisis at the time, the DGS is now the oldest »solar association« in Germany. The association's goal is to supply 100% of Germany with sustainable renewable energy by 2040.

As DGS Landesverband Berlin Brandenburg, we realise our goal at regional and supra-regional level. We have been a partner in research projects since 1982 and offer professional training and technical services. We produce technical books, work on standards and committees and provide individual advice on the use of solar energy.

  • SolarAkademie: New dates for 2026

    The course dates for 2026 have been set: Our familiar courses such as the photovoltaics specialist are back, but we also have a few new and modified training courses in our programme.

  • Project: The SolarCentre Berlin

    The SolarZentrum Berlin is an independent, product- and manufacturer-neutral advice centre for all aspects of solar energy. It was opened in 2019 and is part of the Solarcity masterplan, which has been implemented since 2020.

Training courses

SolarAcademy

up-to-date, well-founded, comprehensive

Regardless of manufacturer and product, our training courses offer you in-depth expertise in the field of solar power and heat generation.

The content of our training programmes is geared towards the current requirements and framework conditions of the respective specialist areas as well as current and future standards and norms. Since our seminars were launched, we have already trained more than 7,000 architects, planners, engineers, tradespeople and sales staff.

We have supported a large number of projects since 1988. These include support for the »Bund-Länder-1000-Dächer-Photovoltaik-Programm« and in Berlin the co-initiation of the »Solar Government Quarter«.
