As a project in the program develoPPP.de of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) MEDAS for Vocational and university training measure for professional planning and grid integration of Photovoltaic in Turkey was initiated. The program which is running since 1995 supports companies to realize innovative projects in developing and emerging nations, which offer long-term benefits to the local population. The cooperation partners support the planning financing and implementation of the project.
The increasing electricity consumption und the status quo of the fulfillment of demand in Turkey require a future restructuring of the grid. In this context the existing huge potential of renewable Energies will be an integral part of the energy supply. The Integration of renewable energies in the existing unidirectional central electricity grid requires adaptations of the grid structure. Germany gained many experiences and developed several solutions in this sector which should be shared.
This knowledge is transferred to relevant target groups in different regions of Turkey (grid companies, chamber of electricians, university teachers and students). For that DGS Berlin elaborates different presentations for the specific target groups and transferred. Additional several calculation tools are discussed.
